Bum Marketing, What is it?

I am sure if you are new to internet marketing you have heard the terms article marketing or bum  marketing. You may be asking yourself, what in the heck is bum marketing. If you google it, you will finds tons of information.

Bum marketing is a term that was coined by a guy name Travis who makes his living from affiliate marketing. Bum marketing is nothing more than article marketing, but it refers to the fact that it is a free marketing method and  it is not necessary to have a web site in order to do this and make money.

The basic premise behind article marketing is to write articles on your niche topic and include affiliate links.  You can find products to promote at places like Commission Junction, Click Bank, Share A Sale, etc.

The first thing to know about article marketing is that Google rates some websites higher than others. In my experience the sites that I get the best response from are Ezine Articles, Go Articles.com, Search Warp and US Freeads.

I would look into a website like the Wealthy Affiliate that really gets you into the nitty gritty of article marketing; like the how to’s of  headlines, content, resource boxes, how to write articles around keywords and more.

You should also know, that with this form of marketing comes a lot of writing.  That is a good thing, because it really will teach you how to become an affiliate marketer.  You will become very quick at writing good, quality articles that make you money.  You really need to get articles out everyday.  I for sure get one article out, but usually do about 3 a day.  Each month I schedule out how many I want for each site and commit to getting that number out each day.  If you break it down day by day, you will not get overwhelmed.
